After completing the Personal Identity Profile, please use this for Journal #2.

You will not turn in the Personal Identity Profile, it is a mere guide to look at all of your various identities and reflect on many identities (hidden or otherwise – some you most likely think about regularly and others you have not). What are your identities versus who are you? If you were going to give a motivational speech to others, what stories would you tell about yourself and how would your various identities, cultures, and perceptions provide that lens? How would you guide others in correcting misinformation about any of your identities?

Please refer to the grading rubric for written assignments as this is worth 100 points. This journal should be NO LESS than 3-4 pages.

Be sure to draw from Chs. 3, 4 & 8 where appropriate.

If you are in need of inspiration, here are some outstanding personal narratives that focus on the complexity of identities.
