Students are required to prepare a written review of three of the following books that allow for or promote global understanding, personal growth, personal transformation, and the value of cultural diversity. I most interested in reading about what you thought of the book, the books relationship to the course and how it relates or transformed your life. Substitutions are not allowed. Don’t put off reading and writing the reviews till the end of the class. These books are “escapes” from the drudgery of the semester—treat this opportunity as such. To do otherwise is totally counter to my purpose. These books would all make great re-gifts for friends and family.
